While staying in Kamara Residence in Mykonos Town, you will have the opportunity to reach few beaches on foot. Let’s start however with the most distant one. It is called Megali Ammos Beach (the translation is “Big Sand”). It can be found on the south edge of Mykonos Town, about 1km away from our accommodation. Additionally, it will take you about 15 minutes to get there. As Megali Ammos is an organized beach, you will not need to take anything with you. Just do not forget your towel and sunscreen. You will have the opportunity to relax on a sunbed and enjoy the environment. On your right side you will have the famous windmills for a view. In front of you, you will see Baos Islet and the distant Syros Island. If you would like to enjoy dinner after a long day on the beach, there are many taverns nearby. We think that it is important for you to know as well, that Megali Ammos is exposed to northern winds. Due to the fact that it is so close to the town, sometimes it might get crowded. Therefore, sometimes it attracts windsurfing and kite surfing enthusiasts.  

The second beach which is a closer to Kamara Residence is the one next to the old port, inside the bay. Although this is just a small strip of sand, it is suitable for quick dive. Therefore, since it is just 300 meters away, you can go ahead and try it.        

In Mykonos Town, you will find countless places to enjoy a lovely lunch and dinner. First of all, there are many restaurants along the coastal pavement. This is where you can enjoy dining accompanied by sea view near Kamara Residence. Additionally Little Venice, one of the most famous places in Cyclades is 400 meters away from our accommodation. You can enjoy there refreshing cocktails or delicious dishes. We will give you our dining recommendations during your check-in.      

First of all, one of the most popular attractions in Cyclades, Little Venice, is 6 minutes away from Kamara Residence. This is a place which doesn’t need many introductions. Every guests of Mykonos Island want to see it and therefore, so should you!

Another quite famous Mykonos attraction within walking distance from our accommodation, are the windmills. You will find them about 500 meters away from our accommodation. We suggest that you visit them during sunset.

If you are interested in history, Mykonos Town features few museums. Therefore, Archaeological Museum, Folklore Museum and Naval Museum are at your disposal. Each one of them again, is within walking distance from Kamara Residence.
